Troppo Bob, "The Ultranormalist" Magic Show

Troppo Bob.  "The Ultrnormalist", has performed all over Australia and the World - now the one-man comedy magic act, Troppo Bob from Troppo Magic, will delight young and old alike at our Show.

Troppo Bob delivers a refreshing mix of verbal and visual comedy along with friendly good-humoured audience interaction and amazing magical experiences.
For more than 30 years Troppo Bob has been a regular at corporate functions, community festivals, family and school events.  His performances provide an experience that is sophisticated enough for adult audiences while still appealing to children of all ages.

Troppo Bob describes himself as "The Ultranormalist", a unique entertainer who presents multi-faceted, flexible comedy enchanced magical performances.  Suspend your disbelief and enter into Troppo Bob's world of illusion and enjoy an experience that is amazing, mystifying and really funny.

Rural Youth
Dog High Jump Competition

This year, Rural Youth Tasmania will be holding a Dog High Jump Competition at the Scottsdale Show.  Come along and watch these amazing dogs test their abilities scaling up and over a wall obstacle.  Great viewing for the whole family.

Animal Nursery - Sponsored by Greenham Tasmania

​Our Animal Nursery is a special place to visit for the whole family.  You can interact with the cute baby animals and see how amazing nature can be.  In the nursery there will be calves, guinea pigs, goats, ducklings and lots more and of course, our Chicken Breeders will be showing off their best birds and Rabbits. 
  

Pet Parade for children only, This will be held on Saturday morning outside the Animal Nursery staring at 10.30am.  No need to have an entry form, just came along and register beforehand.  A great way to show off and be proud of your beloved pet.

Please Note:  The Nursery will be open early on both days but will be closing around 8.00pm so the stewards can attend to the animals.  Sorry to cause any inconveniences.


Serpentarium Wildlife Park Tasmania

 









 Serpentarium Wildlife Park Tasmania is an indoor reptile exhibit of exotic     captive bred reptile species and they will be attending this year's show.

  Scales the Carpet Python and Agate and Azy the Lizards will be there        waiting for you to pay a visit and perhaps interact with them.

  A great attraction for the whole family to see and enjoy.

 Time of Displays:
 10.00am and 1.00pm at the Stadium

Other Thrilling Performing Acts that will be at the show

  • Tas Pretilia. Whether you find them fascinating or consider them creepy and unsettling, come along and satisfy your curiosity! Justin Kneebone – the reptile expert will give a live demonstrations at 9.45am, 11.45am, 1.45am, 3.30pm and 5.30pm on the Hockey Field and answer all of your questions about snakes and lizards!
  • Jasper Fleer, a young juggler will be performing and also roaming the Show Grounds and for a special treat, he will be doing a Fire Show on the Friday Night.
       Performance Times:
       Friday - 10.30am, 1.00pm and 8.00pm (Fire Show).  Jasper will be roaming from 4.00-5.00pm
       Saturday - 10.00am and 1.30pm.  Jasper will be roaming from 11.00am - 12.00pm.


  • Samora Squid a Contortionist, will be showcasing his skills of extreme physical flexibility over the two Show Days. 
        Be amazed, it will be worth a look.

        Saturday - 11.30am


  • Mechanical Bull will be returning to this year's show.  Try your skill and see how long you can last.  Rides are Free to Patrons.
       Time: 
       Friday - 2.00pm to 8.00pm
       Saturday - 10.00am to 2.00pm


  • Tip Duck will be at the Show to teach about recycling.
       Times:
       Friday - 9.45am, 3.30pm and 5.30pm
       Saturday - 9.15am, 10.45am and 11.45am


  • PCYC will be at the Show on both days providing family fun and activities.
       Performance Times:
       Friday - 10.00am to 6.00pm
       Saturday - 10.00am to 2.00pm

  • Taiko Oni Jima (Drums) is back to delight all ages on the Saturday of the Show.
        Performance Time:
        Saturday only - 9.45am

  • Line Dancing
       Performance Time:
       Saturday only - 12.15pm

  • Belly Dancers
        Performance Time:
        Friday - 12.00pm and 4.45pm
        Saturday - 10.45am and 12.25pm




The Scottsdale Show offers lots more to see and do.
  • Eddie Freeman will be creating a chainsaw masterpiece for us all to watch and see how it is done.  Silent auction will be held during the show to bid for one of his sculptures, visit the Show Office for more details.  Come along and check out Eddie at work, you will be amazed.  Friday only from 9am to 2.00pm.  
  • Family Entertainment over the two days of the Show.​
  • Side Show Alley
  • Face Painting will be free to patrons on both days in the Stadium.
         Hours: Friday - 11am to 2.00pm and 4.00pm to 8.00pm, Saturday 10.00am to 2.00pm. 
  • Show Ambassador - Congratulations to Emily Nixon our 2022 Show Ambassador for the Scottsdale Show.
  • All Classes of Miss Show Girl and Master Tiny Tot will be held on Saturday in the Football Club Rooms starting at 11.30am sponsored by Bridestowe Lavender Estate.  Register on Saturday morning between 10.15am - 11.00am at the show office. Judging at 11.30am
  • Attention Goat lovers, Boer and Dairy Goats breeds will be featuring on Saturday.
  • On Saturday, there will be Yard Dog Trails starting early in the morning.  Sponsored by The Roach Family.
  • Rural Youth Tasmania will be holding Dog High Jump Competition on the Saturday.
  • Chopping on Saturday with a full program.
  • There will be a variety of trade stalls for you to purchase that special gift and sample the famous show food we all enjoy and love.
  • Scottsdale Show Equestrian events will be held on both days and these events are known to be one of the best in the state.
  • Our two Pavilions will house; Home crafts, Arts and Crafts, Photography and Trade so there will be heaps to look at from the wonderful blooms of the North East to gifted cooks, talented needle workers and of course our inspired artists and photographers.
  • And don't forget about our Stock Classes - Cattle Handlers, Dairy, Beef and Prime Cattle and Lamb, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Poultry.
  • Pet Parade (children) starts at 10.30am on Saturday.  Please Note:  Must register your pet beforehand at the Animal Nursery.
  • Snake Display -Times Friday only -10.00am and 1.00pm
